In the year of 1855 was constructed a building, located at the corner of Infantry 15 Street and Pedro Dias Street, which lodged up to 1920 the Theatre Nabantino, having been demolished in this date to give place to the new Cine-Theatre Paradise. The author of the project was Deolindo Vieira and the building started to be built in 1920 and  was inaugurated on 24 March of 1924.

Its inside suffered workmanships of beneficiation in 1948, under the orientation of the architect Camilo Korrodi, because of a new implementation of security regulations against fires.

On 31 July of 1991, the Cine-Theatre locks up its activities with the exhibition of the film "Delta Force III", reopening still irregularly for the accomplishment of some theatre parts.

In February of 1997, the Municipal Executive deliberated to acquire the building of the Cine-Theatre Paradise for 325.000 € and, in July was celebrated a contract promise of sale of the building, between the firm proprietor and the City Council of Tomar.

The building was already in a up state of degradation. On 4 January of 1998 the roof yielded to infiltrations and to the lack of maintenance, having provoked the collapse of the zone between the main façade and the first and second balcony.

The most recent remodelling had beginning in August of 2001 being already concluded, endowing again Tomar with two rooms of shows.
