Feast that takes place in Tomar every four years, livens up its streets during three days and being visited by tourists from all over the world. During the days that precede this party, the inhabitants of several streets organize themselves to decorate the streets and trying to obtain the award to the prettiest one, in a competition that takes place in the first day of the party, Friday night. Wonderful night of colour, joy, light, sound and party that only finishes already in full dawn.

The high point of the Feast is Sunday, with the procession of the trays covering the streets of the city and that is initiated in the square of the Republic, in front of the City Hall.

This Feast has its origins in the cult of the Holy Spirit, devotion created by the Queen Saint Isabel. The trays that the women carry on the head were originally offerings to the Holy Spirit. In average they weight 22 kg and they are always of the height of the women who carry them. Some times its weight increases because they put rocks in the trays to lower the centre of gravity of the tray for better balance.

The function of the men is to help the women but they never carry the trays.
